On this page we will be looking at some of the questions Lost has left us with.

ANSWER TO COME!--WHO IS IN THE COFFIN??? Will be REVEALED THIS SEASON!

FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH!

DAMON LINDELOF: The big mystery looming over this season is, how did some people get off the Island and what happened to the people who didn't? That's the mystery that we owe the answer to at the end of the season, in addition to who's in the coffin. We could be winky about the coffin all the way through season 5. But that was one of the first things we talked about when we got back to work on the new episodes: We definitely have to show who was in the coffin. That's the primary super-structure of the season. As a result of that, certain thematic elements — the element of fate or supernatural elements as they relate to the monster and Jacob — are certainly in play but not as interesting to us this season as these questions: Why do some of the characters leave? How do they leave? What are the circumstances under which they leave? Why do some stay? Is it a choice? Is it an accident? Both?

EVERYONE PLACE YOUR BETS---NOW!!!!!!

ANSWERED-KINDA?----DAMON AND CARLTON CLEAR UP THEIR RULES FOR TIME TRAVEL IN "LOST"

Hope this helps some people's questions!

LINDELOF: We're not going to tell you that we're against bending the time/space continuum. We are very for it. Carlton and I are PRO time-space continuum bending! But we're ANTI-paradox. Paradox creates issues. In Heroes, Masi Oka's character travels back from the future to say, ''You must prevent New York from being destroyed.'' But if they prevent New York from being destroyed, Masi Oka can never travel back from the future to warn you, because Future Hiro no longer exists. Right? So when we start having those conversations at Lost, we go, ''This show is already confusing enough as it is.'' To actually have characters traveling through time has to be handled very deftly.

CUSE: For example, the fifth episode of the season [THE CONSTANT] deals with time travel and operates in different time periods. It was a tough story to break. But we adhere to our rule: no paradox.

ANSWERED: Naomi and Elsa bracelets---NOT CONNECTED!

FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH!

DAMON LINDELOF: Naomi's bracelet in the Sayid episode is a key point here. I got some e-mails from people who wondered if there was a connection between Naomi's bracelet and the bracelet worn by the woman Sayid killed in his flash-forward. There is no connective tissue. Sometimes a bracelet is just a bracelet. We just thought it would be a cool emotional touchstone for Sayid; Elsa's bracelet reminds him of Naomi. But some people interpreted that, ''Is there something more there?'' We might need to address that.

How come Desmond finally recognized Sayid?

Desmond was able to speak to his CONSTANT- Penny on the phone. This settled Desmond's mind into where and what the actual time was. It was actually December 24th 2004.

Does Daniel have these side effects?

This could be a possiblility.. At the end of the episdoe we see that he has writen in his journal "If anything goes wrong- Desmond Hume is my CONSTANT".... Daniel is aware of the effects... This is also a reason that Daniel and Charlotte performed the card memory trick....Daniel was exposed to radiation/electromagnetic fields from his experiements at Queens College. He wore a protective vest but nothing for his head.

How come the others on the helicopter show no signs of the side effects?

Daniel tells Jack on the island that exposure to radiation/electromagnetic fields and going off the bearings that Daniel gave Frank could cause side effects.

Why did Minkowsky die?

Minkowsky did not have a "CONSTANT" or variable/object for his brain to use as a time reference. His brain likely had an annuerism. The nosebleed was a sign of something wrong.

Who opened the door for Sayid, Desmond and George?

Could this "friend" of the Losties be Michael? OR WALT? Most of us believe Michael is on the boat via Ben's orders.

What were the numbers and addresses again?

The numbers for the frequecy was 2.342 (which is 2 of the numbers 23 and 42) at 11Hz. The phone number for Penny was 79460893...The address for Penny was 423 Cheyene Walk. All these numbers and references were given to us in the find 815 game.

What does that light have to do with anything?

The light used in the Queens College Physics Lab has something to do with the mind travel. When Eloise was flashed the light she travelled ahead in time 1 hour. Then she returned back to present time. Desmond had a flash back when the doctor shined a light into his eyes...The effects were similar with the lights and the subjects.

Why was Minkowsky strapped down?

George Minkowsky was strapped down because he suffered the same side effects as Desmond. This is why Minkowsky could not answer the phone when the freighties called from the island.

Why did Desmond need to call Penny?

Desmond needed a constant (variable/thing) so that his brain could tell the difference in time. Desmond's constant is Penny. He decides to call Penny so that his brain can tell what time he is currently in.

What was Widmore doing at the auction?

Widmore was purchasing the journal of Mangus Hanso from the original Black Rock Expedition. This was used by Talbot in the find815 game to locate the island.

What happeed to Desmond when he went on the helicopter ride to the freighter?

Desmond suffered some sort of side effect as explained by Daniel.

Why was the episode entitled EGGTOWN?

Well, my thoughts are it has to do with IOWA... Beantown is Boston.....So I googled "What state in the U.S. has highest or number 1 egg production?" The answer is IOWA... Kate is from IOWA....It is a Kate centric episode....There u have it...IOWA is EGGTOWN.

NIKI

Why DIDN'T Kate question Miles about the $3.2 million request?

Why was the Nanny told to keep AARON from the T.V.?

How did Kate get guardianship of AARON?

Why is Kate made out to be the HERO?

Why DOESN'T Jack want to see the BABY?

Why DOES Jack say ONLY 8 survived?

Why has Ben chosen Berlin?

Sent in by Croucher

I was thinking lately about Ben working in that veterinarian's office.

Since Sayid was wounded, he could not have travelled very far, so Ben must be situated somewhere in Germany, close to Berlin. Ben also seemed to be rather well installed (animals, equipment .). So Ben must have been there for some time or planning to stay there for a while.

So it seems that Sayid is travelling around the world to accomplish his mission, but that Ben is really situated around Berlin.

My question is .. why there? Maybe because of its centralized position on the globe, or maybe because there are Dharma headquarters around Berlin. But maybe the authors took Berlin as a symbol of the Cold War, a Tale of Two Cities (East Berlin / West Berlin) . between two distinctive groups.each of them fighting for their Ideal.

it would not be very cautious for Ben to travel everywhere with Sayid, but on the other hand . Sayid could have been wounded also in the Seychelles.. what would he have done then without Ben around?

Why does Frank have to follow an EXACT bearing?

Who is R.G?

What exactly is the 'smoke monster'?

Why is Sayid working for Ben in his flashforward
